With the new version of AuditTAP you can check, among other things, whether your Server System Hardening complies with the current specifications of the Center for Internet Security.
AuditTAP 5.11.0 is here!
Our free hardening tool has been updated: AuditTAP (also known as Audit Test Automation Package or ATAP) has officially made the leap to version 5.11.0. The release contains a few important new features that will make your hardening audit better.
Our solution for both small and large companies can be downloaded ‘for free’ from GitHub:
Are your Windows servers properly hardened?
You can easily answer this question with AuditTAP! With the new version, you can also find out whether your Secure Configuration fulfils the recommendations of the CIS benchmarks in version 3.0.0.
You can now perform the special AuditTAP check with these systems:
-
- Windows Server 2012
- Windows Server 2016
- Windows Server 2019
- Windows Server 2022
This means: ATAP 5.11.0 supports all current Windows Server versions that are still in use – even if Microsoft support for some of them has expired (keyword: Windows Server 2012 R2 EOL).
You can also check standalone computers with Windows 7, Windows 10, Windows 11 and common Linux derivatives (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE, etc.).
Why you should do a check
Why is it so important that your systems are hardened according to the latest hardening standards? Because even the smallest negligence can have serious consequences!
One example is the continued use of the outdated and insecure SMBv1 protocol. This video shows the blatant risks that exist if your system has not been properly hardened in this area:
What else does AuditTAP 5.11.0 offer?
Our developers have integrated some small improvements and bug fixes. These include the following:
➡ Windows 10: The BSI SiSyPHuS HD checks have been improved
➡ Further checks for 64-bit Windows versions
➡ Device Guard checks are now also possible
An overview of all changes can be found on GitHub.
